The AJMIG team returned for another year to Zappeio Megaro, with inspired creations, giving even more space to art and fashion, while organizing a symbolic visual tribute to Caryatida.

A Jewel made in Greece is the name of the multi-level and constantly upgraded platform that was inspired and created several years ago by Mary Samoli. She herself, a designer and micro-sculptor, speaks of “a vehicle of art and entrepreneurship at the same time”, which has traveled with great success to four continents, nine countries and to over fifty destinations.

Every year the AJMIG team of Greek jewelry designers successfully exhibits its new creations. So this year too, fifty Greek artists meet again at the Zappeio Megaro, at the 10th meeting of creators, once again giving space to Art and supporting a national cause at the same time, as this year the exhibition is also connected with a tribute to the missing Caryatida…

From February 23 to 26, fifty jewelry designers and corresponding brands led us on a unique journey, to a charming coexistence, where art is the only axis, where precious and insignificant but significant materials and diamonds coexist with ceramics but forged. with soul. All jewelry of high aesthetics and value, unique textures, materials and designs.

At the same time, this year A Jewel made in Greece presented a visual symbolic tribute entitled “A jewel for Caryatida”, based on an idea and design by Mary Samolis, as well as editing and theoretical support by Iris Kritikou.

They note:
We as AJMIG, do not seek to become an institutional part of the Caryatid claim. We are not asking through an official framework for her repatriation, there are those in charge who are doing so with increasingly optimistic results. We join our voice with this international debate, so that soon the Caryatid, which is not a mobile sculpture, but an organic part of the Erechtheion, a symbol of world culture, will return to where it belongs. Thus, with the slogan “Karyatida – the Beauty of the Beautiful” we invited Greek creators through the path of History, Art and Creation but also through their own expressive and technical means and materials, to honor this famous sculpture. The beautiful pleated “Daughter from Karyes” who still breathes alive and alone…

The tribute to Karyatida, will develop over a period of 12 months in 10 stations starting from Zappeion and will continue in various historical and not only places in Greece but also outside the borders.
